While exiled to the island of Patmos because of his activities in spreading the Gospel, John is given powerful visions, known as the revelation of Jesus Christ. He receives messages to send to seven churches, and is shown in apocalyptic symbolism what will be happening in the world through to the end of Earth's history, from the activities of the Church of Jesus Christ, to the coming of the evil World Ruler, and the final battle and return of the true King of Kings to rule for 1000 years. At the very end, all the present worlds pass away, and are replaced with a new, everlasting heavens and earth. The victory is the LORD's! "Amen. Come Lord Jesus."
