Romans 5

Study Questions:
(For the Diligent Student)

    

          1)  Of the three kinds of “peace,” which do we gain by being “justified”?
       Why?

2)    Explain the differences between:
         a)    The present tense;
         b)    The present perfect;
         c)    The aorist tense;

3)    Arrange these in chain reaction order: (and explain the role of each)
        a)    Experience
        b)    Hope
        c)    Patience
        d)    Tribulation

4)    List 10 reasons Christians have trials, and give examples of each.
        
5)    In what ways is “hope” a measure of maturity?  Give examples.

6)    List the contrasts between the “first” and “last” Adam, with comments

Discussion Questions:

(“Where two people agree, one is redundant")

            1.  What is the harm in attempting to compensate a giver of a gift?
         How does this impact our relationship with God?

    2. In what ways have trials been productive?  Give personal, as well as Biblical, examples.

    3. What are the key things you have learned in this series to date?

Candidate Research Projects:
(For the truly dedicated)

      Compile a list of the ways the “Last Adam” fulfilled the requirements He was sent to complete for the “First Adam.”.


Preparation for the Next Session:

      Read Chapters 6, 7 & 8. Outline Chapter 6: Sanctification--How can He accept us while we still retain our sin nature? How does He disengage us from that nature?
