Romans 13
Study Questions:
(For the Diligent Student)
1. List and explain the four primary institutions established by God in the first eleven verses of Genesis.
2. What are the principle arguments for, and against, capital punishment? How do you feel about the death penalty?
3. How does a republic differ from a democracy? In what ways does a representative republic present difficulties with some of the Biblical passages? Give examples.
4. How should a Christian respond to the tax laws? Give Biblical examples.
5. Explain liberty and expediency in regards to Christian conduct.
Give examples.
6. List the eight stages in the life of a nation. Where are we? What shall we be doing about it?
Discussion Questions:
(“Where two people agree, one is redundant")
1. What about Capital Punishment today? Justify your answers.
2. Is it permissible for Christians to disobey the established laws and governmental agencies? If so, under what conditions?
3. What about the movement toward global governance? What do you see happening? How is it Biblically relevant?

Research the Biblical basis for the American Revolution and the founding of the United States. Resources might include The Light and the Glory, by Peter Marshall, David Barton’s Wallbuilders ministry, etc.
