K I Regional Roundtables

New Opportunities

by Dan Stolebarger KI Director

As Koinonia Institute continues to grow, we are finding the need to provide more opportunities to get together with our student body. The Internet is a wonderful tool and is a tremendous vehicle for our online classes. Our classes offer a challenge scholastically for hundreds of students and can even provide a bit of community.

Many of our members relish the Discussion Question portion of the class because it forces them to relate and respond to classmates. We are providing worldwide fellowship opportunities but, as you might imagine, corresponding online is not the same as face-to-face conversations! This is one of the reasons we are looking to divide our KI Fellowship into regions and then have at least one yearly regional get-together. We believe that this type of gathering, along with our yearly National Conference up here in Coeur d’Alene, can fill that vacuum.

Besides providing fellowship opportunities, these regional gatherings will also be a place where we can invite others who may be interested in joining the Institute. The evening would be informal in nature and could include a speaker from KI as well as giving current regional students an opportunity to share things they have learned. This would also be a great place for us to award Bronze, Silver and Gold Medallions!

What we would love to do is to begin carving up the world into bit-sized regional pieces (as you know, we are an International Fellowship with students from over 12 different countries (so far!).

In order to do this, we are going to need your help. If you would like to host a gathering in your region, we need to hear from you. Our desire would be to partner with you and either send a KI representative to join you or to set up a video conference so we can maximize our outreach.

If this is something you would like more information on then please contact me at studycenter.com. We are blessed by what God is doing through Koinonia Institute—make sure you check it out!
