Face to Face
A Gathering Together:
As Koinonia Institute continues to grow and our infrastructure of Area Reps continues to increase, one of the added benefits is that we are able to coordinate getting together with some face-to-face fellowship time with our students! This is what happened last month when we were out “on the road” with stops on both coasts.
While in Orange County, CA, we met up with an excited bunch of KI’ers. Here’s a tidbit from Doug Sipple, one of our Area Reps from Chino Hills:
We had a wonderful time at lunch today with Chuck Missler, Dan Stolebarger and Gordon McDonald. We had great fellowship, solved some of the world’s problems, and were inspired by Chuck’s vision of where KI is going in 2008 and beyond. Thankfully, Alex Guillen brought a camera, so I hope he will post pics of the day here later.
(As you can tell from the photo below, Alex was faithful in getting the pictures in on time!)
From the OC on the West Coast we flew out to the East Coast to a conference in the Finger Lakes area in upstate New York. Following the conference, our Area Reps in the area hosted a KI Roundtable. We are blessed to report that John Hoben, an Area Rep in New York, has started a military ministry that sends out Bibles and our Learn the Bible in 24 Hours CD-ROM to GIs in Iraq! It truly is a privilege to partner with John in this new ministry!
There is nothing like just being with people who share common passions! We know that God has blessed KI and that we have been able to exploit today’s technology for the Kingdom of God by creating courses for online learning.
We also know that this product is the wave of the future. Due to the “busyness” of our lives, we are finding that being able to take classes online (which folks can take on their own time schedule) has been extremely beneficial!
But with that said, there is nothing like “face-to-face” gatherings.
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the LORD commanded the blessing -- Life forevermore.
Psalm 133:1-3
Because of this, the Institute is always looking for students to raise their hands to represent us in their own geographical backyards. If you feel the call of God to do this, please contact us at www.studycenter.com and make sure you keep track of our traveling schedule, which can be found in the calendar section of our K-House website: www.khouse.org.
If we are in your area, there’s a good chance that there will be a meeting of KI’ers because, as you can see, there is nothing like face-to-face gatherings. Pray about joining us!
